Job Summary
Nurse Executive leads nursing department in Fort Defiance, AZ, overseeing direct patient care, staff assignments, and department operations within MSU/ICU. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing safe, quality, evidence-based nursing care; coordinating interdisciplinary team care from admission to discharge; reviewing policies, budgeting, credentials, and staff training; ensuring compliance with CMS and QAPI requirements; managing schedules, supplies, and staff development; and maintaining licensure/certification while guiding quality improvement and infection control efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain certification
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and maintain certification
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and maintain certification
- Must have a valid, unrestricted insurable driver’s license
- Experience: five years inpatient nursing, five years critical care, two years nursing leadership (as described in the posting)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
