Nurse Educator - Operating Room

Provide specialized clinical expertise and skill as a support person and role model for the nursing staff. Assess clinical skills and learning needs, then collaborate with leadership and preceptors to evaluate and promote development. Design, plan, and implement criteria-based staff development programs and orientation programs to meet clinical needs of all team members. Participate in unit departmental and interdisciplinary programs to assist with changing trends in patient care delivery. Engage in performance improvement initiatives and address knowledge deficits identified through unit-based monitoring. Integrate evidence-based standards into operating room and recovery room education, clinical practice, and staff competency development.
