Job Summary
Nurse Educator provides educational opportunities to nurses for professional development by identifying competency gaps, designing and delivering education programs, and serving as a trainer using adult learning principles. Responsible for evaluating needs assessments, developing curricula and study protocols, ensuring curriculum accuracy, and aligning with regulatory guidelines. Supports clinical development through internal resources, reviews metrics to ensure program effectiveness, collaborates cross-functionally, and leads education activities across onsite locations (Renton, Bellevue, Seattle, Everett). Requires RN licensure (Washington or compact) and BLS at hire; MCG/EPIC/CCM certifications are highly preferred. Minimum six months of clinical teaching or related educational experience; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred. Occupational locations include KPWA Renton, Overlake-Bellevue, Swedish campuses-Seattle, and PRMC-Everett; onsite, with on-call weekends (approximately every 6-8 weeks).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health-related field AND minimum two (2) years of experience in an inpatient setting, clinic, and or skilled nursing department or a directly health-related field.
- ~ Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
- ~ Basic Life Support required at hire
