Job Summary
Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs for nursing and support staff, including onboarding, orientation, annual competencies, and ongoing in-service training. Facilitate quality improvement initiatives, monitor staff performance, and provide coaching to improve clinical outcomes. Promote best practices in infection prevention, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance while maintaining educational records and competency evaluations. Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify training needs and review employee-related incidents to enhance safety efforts. Stay current with healthcare regulations and evidence-based practices to ensure excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of three years of experience in nursing education, staff development, or clinical training within a long-term care or post-acute care setting
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities
- Experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, and competency-based education
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of infection prevention, employee health, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
- Demonstrated commitment to staff development, resident care quality, and regulatory compliance
