Job Summary
Director of Surgical Services overseeing department operations, including goals, plans, standards, staffing, budgeting, audits, and compliance to achieve organizational objectives. Responsible for directing patient care delivery, staffing plans (hiring, orientation, evaluation, discipline, continuing education), budget monitoring, internal/external audits, and ensuring reliable attendance. Leads clinical nursing activities for pediatric patients, provides expert care and education, acts as patient advocate and mentor for staff, manages patient loads, and applies nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Emphasizes use of cutting-edge technology to impact patient wellbeing and shapes exceptional patient journeys through leadership and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Montana RN license
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
- PALS within six (6) months of hire
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire
- Five (5) years' experience as a Surgical Services RN and as a leader at the Manager or Director level
