Job Summary
Lead the overall clinical, operational, financial, and strategic direction of the 23-bed Labor & Delivery Unit and 12-bed Antenatal Unit. Drive quality improvement, safety, and accreditation readiness while managing an annual operating budget and staffing for a 24/7 accountability schedule. Mentor nursing leaders, oversee an assistant director and multidisciplinary teams, and partner with physicians to advance evidence-based practice and maternal-fetal care. Report to the Associate Chief Nurse, Nursing and Clinical Services.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration/licensure in nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- MSN, DNP, PhD, or BSN with a Master's degree in a related field
- Current certification required or to be attained within two years from date of hire
- Certification must be maintained while employed in this position
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Women's Health
- Demonstrated evidence of exemplary nursing practice in Labor and Delivery
- Experience leading complex inpatient services and multidisciplinary teams
- Proven ability to drive change, engagement, and clinical excellence
- Commitment to innovation, accountability, and nursing professional practice
- Work schedule is primarily days with 24/7 accountability
Desired Qualifications
- Three years labor and delivery nursing experience
- Recent experience as a nurse leader responsible for collaboration in a highly matrixed leadership structure
- Experience with labor relations
