Job Summary
Evaluate and supervise staff based on mutually agreed-upon goals in job descriptions. Implement strategies to enhance retention and reduce turnover while promoting a safe and positive working environment. Ensure RN supervisors and clinical care managers are aware of updated policies and procedures. Assign patients for day-to-day management to nursing coordinators and nursing supervisors. Prepare the departmental budget and operate the unit within budgetary guidelines. Manage all operational services for the 36-bed HVI unit serving lung and advanced cardiac failure patients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- MA Registered Nurse License
- Nursing management 3-5 years
- Proficient organizational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient commitment to clinical excellence
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions
- Knowledge of Regulatory Agency Regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Nursing
- Master's Degree Related Field of Study
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS (AHA)]
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
