Job Summary
Nurse Coordinator handling clinical-trial coordination duties in an academic-hospital setting. Responsible for screening candidates for clinical trials by reviewing medical records and ensuring protocol-required testing is completed; collecting, entering, and maintaining clinical trial data in binders and electronic databases; uploading imaging files and troubleshooting transmission; preparing for and supporting monitoring visits to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and audit-readiness; and documenting/reporting adverse events, including coordinating with outside medical facilities for records. Requires an active, unrestricted RN license, 2–3 years of clinical research coordination or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, and IRB processes, proficiency with electronic data capture systems and medical-record documentation, excellent organizational/documentation skills for audit-ready records, and strong communication skills for collaboration with investigators, monitors, and clinical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2–3 years of clinical research coordination or equivalent clinical trial experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and IRB processes
- Proficiency with electronic data capture systems and medical record documentation
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills with ability to maintain audit-ready records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with investigators, monitors, and clinical staff
