Job Summary
Interpret medical language, procedures, and clinical policies to render opinions on medical issues, healthcare provided, and resulting outcomes for attorneys and clients. Review, analyze, and summarize case files, medical records, and documents to prepare attorney work product including medical chronologies, fact summaries, timelines, and presentations. Perform medical literature searches to educate the team on relevant findings and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants for witness interviews, depositions, and trials. Maintain accurate billing records, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and uphold strict confidentiality while handling moderate to high stress. Requires a Registered Nurse with an active license and 7-10 years of clinical experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with iManage or Litify are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a current active license in good standing
- Must have strong organization, communication, educational, and multitasking skills
- Must be detailed and have strong critical thinking skills
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable with a paperless system
- The ability to sit upright and use a computer for eight hours or more a day five days a week
- The ability to cope with and manage stress
- Typing at least 35 words per minute using both hands
- The ability to consistently hear, understand, listen, and speak to meet the needs and standards of the practice

Desired Qualifications
- 7-10 years or more of clinical nursing experience
- Critical Care, Medical Surgical Nursing, Trauma, and or ER experience
- Education and experience in legal nurse consulting
- Familiarization with various radiology and monitoring software
- iManage and Litify experience
