Job Summary
Nurse Communicator (Critical Care) leading critical conversations for shared decision-making in the ICU; translating prognosis and goals of care with clarity and compassion; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to convene family meetings, support palliative care, and enhance the critical care experience; shaping communication practices through mentorship, quality improvement initiatives, and innovative care models in critical care settings. Includes evening/night/weekend differential, OT, and on-call pay. Located at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Requires BSN, IL RN license, ACLS, CPR, and 2 years ICU experience; CCRN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 2 years ICU nursing experience
- EMR documentation experience
- Current RN license in Illinois
- ACLS certification
- Bi- annual CPR certification
