Job Summary
Nurse Clinician providing in-home infusion care: conduct initial nursing assessments for home infusion therapy, train patients/caregivers on procedures and equipment, develop and revise care plans with the healthcare team, visit patients and document compliance, take on-call duties, coordinate care with pharmacists and other agencies, plan efficient daily routes, triage field problems, deliver high-quality white-glove nursing service, and perform duties including weekends/evenings as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of employment and in good standing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Professional Liability Insurance
- CPR Certification
- Knowledge of PIV, Mid-Line, PICC Line, Tunneled Catheters, and Ports
- At least 2 years’ experience as a home infusion nurse or related home nursing experience
- ED experience preferred
- Proficiency with IV insertion and infusion pumps
- Heart failure nurse certification desirable
- CRNI preferred
- Experience with IV therapies such as inotropes, IVIG, and TPN preferred
- Ability to conduct patient assessments, train patients/caregivers, and manage care plans
