Job Summary
Nurse Clinician for Ambulatory General Surgery (Part-time, hybrid). Responsible for coordinating clinic/perioperative operations, managing MyChart inbox, ordering imaging (CT scans), coordinating pre-certifications, screening/scheduling patients, ensuring labs and pre-operative work are completed, retrieving outside imaging, preparing provider schedules, and assisting with Wednesday clinic visits. Performs comprehensive nursing assessments, documents in the medical record, maintains patient confidentiality, conducts phlebotomy and routine nursing duties, supports patient education, and collaborates with physicians and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care. Requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing, active RN license in the state of employment, CPR certification, and 2 years of relevant clinical experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Schedule includes 16 hours in-person and 8 hours remote per week with Wednesday clinic mandatory. English communication and coordination with insurance providers for authorizations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- State Licensed Registered Nurse for State of employment
- Certification in Basic CPR
- 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment
