Job Summary
Nurse Clinician-Allergy (Full Time Days) at Northwestern Medicine; 36 hours/week, Monday–Friday, located in Glenview, IL. Provides comprehensive nursing assessments (phone or in person), implements nursing interventions, and organizes patient education for the unit’s population. Performs routine and complex nursing duties (phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs, lab specimen handling, and specialized procedures under appropriate protocols). Collaborates with physicians and other health-care professionals to coordinate patient care, triages calls, and ensures thorough documentation in the medical record while maintaining patient confidentiality and OSHA compliance. Requires nursing degree and Illinois RN licensure; BLS CPR certification. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 1–2 years of ambulatory or acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
- Current experience within past five years or new nursing graduate within past two years
