Job Summary
Nurse Clinical Leader oversees leadership and clinical operations in the Orthopedics Acute unit, directing staffing and resource management while providing bedside RN care within scheduled shifts. Responsibilities include scheduling, setting staff competencies, orientation and onboarding, performance reviews, governance support, and ensuring staffing levels align with patient census and acuities. Key duties also cover evaluation of patient care delivery, coordination with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, promoting safety and quality, and mentoring staff to elevate clinical practice. Essential skills include leadership, communication, problem-solving, clinical knowledge, resource management, patient safety, and mentorship. The role requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and a BSN with a track to complete BSN within four years if not already obtained.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified)
- Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire or promotion date
