Nurse Clinical Leader Orthopedics Acute

The Nurse Clinical Leader provides leadership and clinical expertise during their shift and within the department. They manage unit resources and supervise personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on the unique needs of patients on the unit, both clinically and financially. They serve as clinical support for staff and exemplify competency and professionalism, with leadership responsibilities including scheduling, new employee orientation, performance reviews, and governance support. The role includes a bedside RN shift with accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and coordination with the health team. Essential duties include evaluating patient status, coordinating interdisciplinary information, promoting professional development and staff competency, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe care delivery, and overseeing staffing decisions and caregiver performance.
