Job Summary
Nurse Clinical Leader Orthopedics Acute provides leadership and clinical expertise, manages unit resources, supervises personnel, and ensures appropriate staffing for an orthopedic acute care unit. The role includes leading change, scheduling, maintaining staff competencies, orientation for new hires, performance reviews, and supporting professional governance, while also performing bedside RN patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and coordination with the health team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Bachelor7s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; BSN within four years of hire/promotion if not already held
