Job Summary
Lead nurse clinical leader for Orthopedics Acute; provides leadership and clinical expertise during shifts and within the department, manages unit resources and supervises personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels and quality of patient care. Responsibilities include leading change, scheduling, maintaining staff competencies, new employee orientation, performance reviews, governance support, and coordinating bedside nursing care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional collaboration. Oversees staffing alignment with census/acuities, supports staff development, ensures regulatory compliance, and participates in staffing decisions, competency oversight, and program initiatives. Requires RN license with BSN (to be completed within four years), BLS, and active clinical leadership capabilities. Located at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital, Billings, MT; schedule ~36 hours/week; hourly range $44.42–$65.70.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their BSN within four years of their hire or promotion date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
