NURSE, CLINICAL

Provides direct patient care activities within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family. Proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, beliefs, and cultural factors. This is a safety-sensitive position recognizing the need for constant alertness and safe work practices.
