Nurse Case Manager I

Nurse Case Manager I will evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of health care services, coordinate care between the insured, the insurance carrier, and the healthcare team for United States and international needs, perform certifications and reviews (concurrent, retrospective, and precertification), manage medical evacuations/repatriations, participate in on-call rotation, provide pre travel advice via phone/email, guide members to in-network providers, and document outcomes in case management systems. Requires an active Indiana RN license, at least two years of hospital-based direct patient care, strong communication and organizational skills, experience with utilization review processes, knowledge of certification and appeals procedures, and ability to maintain confidentiality of protected health information. Hybrid or remote work options available; office is based in Indianapolis, IN.
