Job Summary
Nurse Case Manager (Field) in the Baltimore, MD area responsible for managing medical case management for workers’ compensation injuries. Travel up to 2 hours one-way to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other locations; field/home-based role supporting injured workers with assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees to monitor progress and report results. Requires an active MD RN license with WCCM certification (or eligibility), familiarity with workers’ compensation case management, and beneficial credentials (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) within two years. Strong organization, communication, and technology skills; autonomous work style; valid driver’s license and clean driving history. Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in MD
- RN - WCCM required
- Registered with MCRSP within 30 days of start date
- Experience in case management of workers comp cases, preferred
- Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases
- Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred. REQUIRED within two years of the date of hire
- Skills required for success: organization and timeline adherence skills, PC and technology skills, communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
- Skilled at patient education
- Valid Driver’s License, and good driving history
