Job Summary
Nurse Case Manager (Field) – hybrid role based in the Baltimore area, supporting injured workers across Baltimore and nearby communities with in-person patient appointments about 80% of travel. Responsibilities include medical case management of work-related injuries: assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation; collaboration with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees; monitoring progress and reporting results to employers and carriers. Requires a current MD RN license, MD WCCM certification, willingness to travel, and a compact MD RN license. Requires ability to work autonomously, strong organization and communication skills, and proficiency with PC/tech tools. Certifications such as CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC are preferred and REQUIRED within two years of hire. Valid driver's license and good driving history are required.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in MD
- RN - WCCM required
- Registered with MCRSP within 30 days of start date
- Experience in case management of workers comp cases, preferred
- Must be willing to learn and take catastrophic cases
- Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred. REQUIRED within two years of the date of hire
- Skills required for success: organization and timeline adherence skills, PC and technology skills, communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
- Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
- Skilled at patient education
- Valid Driver’s License, and good driving history
