Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and contribute to safety and quality at the point of care using evidence-based care models. Requires state RN licensure, BLS certification, and six months of nursing experience; preferred Bachelor's degree. Full-time day and night rotation with a quarterly night shift incentive program. Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work nights
- Must be able to work day shifts
- Must be able to work onsite
- Must be able to work full time
- Must be able to work 72.00 hours per pay period
- Must be able to work in a 2 week pay period
- Must be able to work in Acute Care
- Must be able to work in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units
- Must be able to work with moderate to high patient acuity
- Must be able to provide top of scope practice in direct patient care
- Must be able to utilize the nursing process
- Must be able to model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
- Must be able to contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care
