Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty acute care units, including Med-Surg, utilizing the nursing process for moderate to high acuity patients. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and contribute to safety and quality at the point of care. Requires state RN licensure, BLS certification, and six months of nursing experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. Full-time day and night rotation with an onsite-only schedule.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
- Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care
- Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
- AMSN's core curriculum and various specialty certification standards are included in evidence based care models for each unit
