Job Summary
Conduct maternal visits and provide nursing services within the Population Health Promotion Model framework. Make primary decisions based on sound assessments in accordance with the Public Health Act, SRNA Standards of Practice, and Canadian Community Health Nursing Standards. Liaise with other health personnel, sectors, and community groups to support health programs and advocacy. Translate knowledge from health and social sciences to implement primary and secondary prevention strategies. Work relatively independently under the direction of the Manager. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, valid Class 5 driver's license, and Basic Life Support certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
