Job Summary
The Public Health Nurse role involves providing nursing services within the Population Health Promotion Model, working relatively independently to make primary decisions based on assessments, and liaising with health personnel, other sectors, and community groups to support health programs and advocacy. Responsibilities include health promotion and primary/secondary prevention, applying the SRNA/Canadian standards, and contributing to multi-site public health initiatives. Required qualifications include a BScN, three years of Public Health Nursing experience, BLS-HCP, a valid Class 5 driver\'s license, and immunization competencies. The position is full-time with field hours across Melville, SK, and may involve travel, under the Public Health Nursing program and union SUN. Registered or eligible with CRNS is required.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years experience as a Public Health Nurse
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
- Valid Class 5 driver\'s license
- Immunization Competencies Course
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
