Job Summary
Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, coordinate dispatch services, and document all services. Serve as an observer for patients requiring constant safety monitoring, either in person or via remote video. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record. Complete a full week of corporate orientation. This position operates Monday-Friday from 7am to 3:30pm within the Nursing Resource Pool at Troy Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
- Current CNA certification preferred
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
- Orientation: full week of corporate orientation
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
- Attend the entire week consecutively
- Drug-free workplace
- Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Current CNA certification preferred
