Job Summary
Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, coordinate dispatch services, and document all services in the electronic medical record. Serve as an observer for patients requiring constant in-person or remote video monitoring to ensure safety. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient unit functioning. This role includes a full week of corporate orientation followed by a Monday-to-Sunday night shift from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
- Current CNA certification
- Full week of corporate orientation
- Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm orientation schedule
- Attend the entire week consecutively
- Drug-free workplace
- Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (if not required within 30 days)
- Current CNA certification (if not required)
