Nurse Assistant on the Progressive Care Cardiac 4NW unit provides patient care per the plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, observation duties for patients requiring constant monitoring (in person or via remote video), and performing general receptionist/clerical duties to support unit operations. Documentation of care is entered into the electronic medical record. The role requires completion of a full corporate orientation, with a day-shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a 24-hour weekly total, including variable weekends. A CNA certification is preferred, with BLS within 30 days of hire; high school diploma or equivalent is required. The unit focuses on post-operative open heart, post-cardiac intervention patients, and related telemetry in a 28-bed CPCU setting, with emphasis on patient satisfaction and clinical advancement."
