Nurse Assistant Ortho

Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and document all services in the electronic medical record. Serve as an observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. This role supports the Ortho 3SE unit at Corewell Health Grosse Pointe Hospital, serving individuals undergoing total joint replacement, spine surgeries, and orthopedic injuries.
