Job Summary
Nurse Assistant role reporting to the Unit Manager and Director of Nursing. Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, assists the nursing staff in caring for patients. Responsibilities include assisting with basic hygiene needs, obtaining vital signs and documenting in the electronic medical records system, assisting with ambulation and patient mobility, helping with meals, transporting medications and blood products (including sealed medication trays for crash cart exchange), and providing clerical support such as data entry, order entry, and maintaining departmental supplies. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire. Education requirement is a High School diploma or GED. Previous acute care experience is preferred. Work environment involves standing/walking up to 90% of the time and lifting up to 50 lbs, with exposure to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease. Offices are in Fayetteville, AR 72703.
