Job Summary
Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by licensed nursing personnel, including bathing, hygiene, elimination, feeding, ambulation, and positioning. Conduct regular patient rounds on the nursing unit to support safety and satisfaction while effectively communicating with all team members. Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patient during night shift rotations from 7pm to 7am.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- proof of completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125
- documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Room Technician or Surgical Technician in the past three (3) years
- completed a LPN program outside the US and is awaiting the licensure examination
- nursing student who has completed fundamentals or equivalent course
- nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three (3) years
- certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo
- BLS Certification
- Night Shift, 7pm to 7am, every other weekend and holiday rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- Previous computer experience
