Job Summary
Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and document all services. Act as an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring. Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Document care provided in the electronic medical record. This role supports the 44-bed oncology/hospice unit at Troy Hospital, recognized by US News & World Report for orthopedics and urological services.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- Current CNA certification
- Full week of corporate orientation
- Monday-Friday schedule
- 7am-3:30pm shift
- Attend the entire week consecutively
- Drug-free workplace
- Compliance with MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- Current CNA certification
