Job Summary
Nurse Assistant/CNA needed for Memory Care PRN at Bishop Gadsden on James Island. Provide personal, nutritional, and restorative care to residents in an assisted living setting. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, dining assistance, supporting residents during activities, promoting independence, reporting changes during shifts, collaborating with the healthcare team, laundering/respecting residents’ personal items, and adhering to safety policies and HIPAA. Requires active South Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant certification, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months), high school diploma/equivalent, English communication proficiency, ability to multi-task, and physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform extended tasks. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Nurse’s Aide listed on the South Carolina Nurse Aide registry with an active certification
- Active CPR certification, or willingness to become certified within 6 months of employment.
- Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and Bishop Gadsden employees
- Able to effectively multi-task
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and written
- Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-)
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
