Job Summary
Provide patients with assistance in activities of daily living; assist nursing team in ensuring patient safety; support oral/personal hygiene, feeding assistance as needed; perform and document vital signs and basic patient observations; collect specimens as appropriate; respond to call bells and emergencies; assist with patient transportation and safety, participate in care as integral part of the nursing team, and maintain effective communication with RN and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Program, required
- Certified by New York State Department of Health; maintains standing in State Nurse Assistant Registry, required
- Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience in a Hospital, Rehab, or Sub-Acute facility, required
