Job Summary
Administer nursing care under direct supervision to assigned residents while adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards. Provide hygienic care and assist with activities of daily living, taking vital signs and reporting abnormal values to the nurse in charge. Perform Grade I decubitus care, transport residents between units, and prepare rooms for admissions, transfers, and emergencies. Collect and label specimens, prepare residents for meals, and maintain a safe, clean environment by washing equipment and replenishing supplies. Report observations of unusual conditions and provide constant observation for residents requiring increased security. Requires a Nurse Assistant Program certification and one year of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program
- Certified by the New York State Department of Health
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience
