Job Summary
Nurse Assistant - Cardiology (Night shift, 7P-7A) assists nursing staff under supervision to support patient care in a cardiology unit. Key duties include assisting with basic hygiene, obtaining and documenting vital signs in the EMR, aiding patient mobility and transport, helping with meals, transporting medications and blood products, and providing clerical support such as data entry, order entry, and maintaining departmental supplies. Requires basic healthcare education (HS diploma or GED) and CPR within 90 days. Experience in an acute care setting is preferred. The role involves standing and walking for most of the shift, with lifting up to 50 lbs, in a hospital environment. Demonstrates culturally and linguistically appropriate care.
