Job Summary
Nurse Assistant at Washington Regional Medical System – Cardiology unit, full-time nights (7P-7A). Assists nursing staff with patient care duties under supervision, including basic hygiene, vital signs documentation in EMR, ambulation and mobility support, meal assistance, and transport of medications and blood products. Provides clerical support such as data entry and order entry; maintains supplies. CPR certification required within 90 days. Requires high school diploma or GED; experience in acute care preferred. Works in a 90% standing/walking environment with up to 50 lbs lifting; exposure to body fluids and radiation; culturally and linguistically diverse patient population. Knowledge of electronic medical records, patient safety goals, regulatory and budgetary considerations is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licensure and Certifications: CPR required within 90 days.
- Experience: Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
