Job Summary
Nurse Assistant works under close supervision to assist nursing staff in patient care in the Cardiology unit. Responsibilities include assisting with basic hygiene needs, obtaining vital signs and documenting in the EMR, aiding with ambulation and patient mobility, helping with meals, transporting medications and blood products, and performing clerical duties such as data entry and maintaining department supplies. Requires CPR within 90 days and a high school diploma or GED; 90% of time spent standing/walking with lifting up to 50 lbs; environment includes exposure to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification within 90 days
- Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred
