Job Summary
CRNA providing anesthesia in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and physicians; responsible for delivering safe, patient-centric anesthetic care, ensuring proper documentation, maintaining professional standards, and engaging in ongoing professional development. Works within ASA guidelines, monitors vital signs and anesthesia equipment, and communicates effectively with surgical teams and patients' families. Requires CT APRN license, AANA certification, and appropriate credentialing through the affiliated hospital Medical Staff process.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Graduation from a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the AANA
- Current State of Connecticut RN and APRN licensure
- APRN licensure in CT
- AANA Certification
- DEA Registration
- ACLS Certification
- Controlled Substance Registration (CT)
- Credentialing through Medical Staff process
- Ability to obtain reference letters from physicians and practitioners for credentialing
- Strong communication with surgeons and teams
- Ability to maintain composure under stress
- Demonstrated patient-centered care
