Job Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia to pediatric patients, monitors well-being under anesthesia, maintains medical charts, and collaborates with surgeons and other clinicians. Responsibilities include preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting with induction and emergency procedures, selecting and administering medications under direction, evaluating patient history, monitoring patient responses, managing airway/ventilation, and ensuring patient safety while participating in operating room teamwork and ongoing professional development. Requires a Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia and NBCRNA certification, with 1 year of CRNA OR experience; pediatric OR experience preferred; must be eligible to work in the United States. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia
- Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- CRNA must maintain continuing education credits to maintain licensure
- 1 year of CRNA experience in an OR setting
- Pediatric OR experience preferred
