Job Summary
Provide anesthesia care under medical supervision, including pre- and post-anesthesia assessments, airway management, and administration of general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care in the operating room; responsibilities include equipment preparation, medication handling, and post-anesthesia care per ADA-defined essential functions; requires COA-accredited nurse anesthesia education, NY RN licensure, NBCRNA certification within one year, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; Master’s or doctoral degree in a related field is required.
Required Qualifications
- Masters and/or Doctoral degree in related field
- Graduate from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the COA
- Unencumbered RN license in New York State
- NBCRNA certification within one year of graduating
- American Heart Association BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
