Job Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides comprehensive anesthesia care including general anesthesia, procedure-related sedation, and regional techniques, collaborating with the anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include determining age-specific anesthesia plans, communicating effectively, applying theoretical concepts to clinical practice, and following all relevant policies and regulations. Skills required include critical thinking, effective communication in English (Spanish preferred), problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Clinical experience as a CRNA or student nurse anesthetist within the last twelve months is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
- Valid California Registered Nurse license
- Valid California Nurse Anesthetist Certificate
- Current certification by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications by the American Heart Association
