Job Summary

Conduct resident care under supervision of the NATP Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor while completing classroom training and clinical studies to pass the NYS Nurse Aide Training test. Provide requested services, transport residents between departments, and document daily care assessments, vital signs, and intake/output data. Recognize and report changes in resident condition, participate in nursing reports and conferences, and maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Treat residents and co-workers with dignity, follow infection control procedures, and attend a minimum of six hours of in-service education every six months. May be required to work on other shifts and units as needed.

  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move object
  • Occasional balancing, crouching, typing/clerical/dexterity, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, seeing/monitor/computer use, fit testing
  • Frequent grasping, hearing, repetitive motion, standing, talking, walking, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)
  • Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, chemical
  • Occasional extreme temperatures, noise, odors
  • No travel
  • Attend no less than 6 hours of compensated in-service education in every six (6) month period
  • May be required to work on other shifts and units, as needed
  • May be required to perform other related duties, as needed
  • Follow established Infection Control procedures
  • Attend all required in-services and follow all department and facility policies and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment
  • Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent resident care and employee information and follow HIPAA and HIV regulations
