Job Summary
Provide basic patient care activities according to age-appropriate needs, including transportation, room maintenance, linen changes, and answering call lights. Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfers while observing patients for condition changes and reporting them to the registered nurse. Order supplies, replenish stock, and monitor equipment usage to contribute to cost-effective care. Maintain a safe, clean environment and utilize positive communication skills for conflict resolution and teamwork. Works night shifts, 0.8 FTE, with a scheduled 32-hour week. CNA certification and BLS status required.
Required Qualifications
- Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED
- Job requires ability to read, write and speak English
- Completion of Nurse Aide Certification course or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) required
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required
- Must be able to work Night Shift
- Must be able to work 0.8 FTE
- Must be able to work 32 Scheduled Hours
Desired Qualifications
- One year acute care experience preferred
