Job Summary
Nurse Aide in Training provides routine daily nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in a post-acute care facility, while working toward CNA certification after a four-month period. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification at hire or during orientation. Responsibilities include assisting with baths, grooming, feeding, toileting, documenting care, responding to call lights, transporting patients, aiding in evacuation, and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Must demonstrate patience, good judgment, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.; English communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a State-approved CNA program
- CPR certification required or to obtain during orientation
