Job Summary
Proctor computerized knowledge-based examinations and objectively observe and score candidates demonstrating clinical skills. Prepare for test events by monitoring rosters, ensuring site setup, and maintaining a clean environment. Greet examinees, verify identification, and manage the testing area to ensure candidate flow. Monitor candidates during written exams, direct proctors as needed, and resolve issues or report occurrences to supervisors. Reboot workstations and reset passwords to maintain technical proficiency. Coordinate candidate rosters and maintain an online appointment schedule. Work 1 to 2 days a week or 2 to 4 days a month, traveling within a 30-mile radius of your zip code. Administer exams Monday through Friday, standing for extended periods up to 8 hours per event.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurses with active and unrestricted licenses in the state of operation
- One (1) year of experience in long-term care or experience caring for the chronically ill of any age
- Intermediate to Advanced technical skills and solid familiarity with computer programs and applications (including but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, and Explorer web browsing)
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Access to personal computer equipment (i.e. personal computer/laptop, printer, etc.)
- Must have a valid Drivers License and vehicle to travel to test events
- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Must be proactive, flexible, amicable, and able to solve problems independently
- Ability to travel 30 miles or more one way from zip code
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while administering the exam and evaluating candidates (up to as much as 8 hours per event)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (testing mannequin)
