Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while integrating quality improvement principles and lean methodology. Provide safe, family-centered nursing care under Public Health Supervision, focusing on disease prevention through immunizations across the region in public health centers, malls, or schools. Utilize independent judgment based on Public Health principles and apply knowledge of immunization practices, health assessments, and the RPNAS Code of Ethics. Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license and CPR Level C certification. Work days, evenings, and weekends with no guaranteed hours, with travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Nursing diploma
- Intermediate - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Basic - Computer skills
- Basic - Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies
- Decision making through the application of knowledge and critical thinking
- Uses independent judgment based on Public Health principles
- Knowledge in principles and practices of immunization
- High level of accuracy in health assessment, nursing diagnosis and treatment
- Knowledge of RPNAS Code of Ethics
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate (CPR)
