Job Summary
Nurse 5 - Communicable Disease Control Coordinator offers clinical leadership in immunization, travel health, and communicable disease management within WRHA's Public Health program. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing (CRNM in good standing)
- Master's degree preferred (Nursing, Public Health, Community Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Education) but not required
- Public Health Agency of Canada Skills Enhancement for Public Health Program content modules preferred
- Public Health Agency of Canada Immunization Module preferred
- Canadian Community Health Nurses certification or Infection Prevention and Control Certification may be considered
- Manitoba Class 5 driver's license
- CPR training per Employer policy
- Minimum five years relevant public health experience (immunization, communicable disease control, health promotion, primary care)
- Experience promoting equity in population health and working with high-risk populations
- Ability to apply evidence-informed practice and regulatory knowledge governing health care
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Ability to work across interdisciplinary teams and with diverse communities
- Ability to manage uncertainty and lead change
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, eChart, Panorama)
