Nurse 4 (Education Facilitator) - Education Services: LTC / Transitional Care / Focus On Falls

Job Summary
Education Facilitator leads clinical education and professional development to support staff learning; acts as an educational resource, facilitates and evaluates learning processes and outcomes, and plans/orients programs. Works within the Long-Term Care, Transitional Care, Focus on Falls Program and Misericordia Health Centre; participates in educational activities and supports practice change, quality improvement, and patient safety. Requires a nursing baccalaureate degree (master’s preferred), 2+ years in long-term/continuing/seniors’ care or related clinical area, experience in clinical education or staff development, ability to facilitate adult learning, and credentials such as ACLS (within 1 year), Level 2 Wound Care, BLS Instructor; registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba; willingness to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to orientation and mentorship initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in long-term care, continuing care, and seniors’ care, or a related clinical area required.
- Experience in clinical education, staff development, or professional practice support preferred.
- Experience in facilitating adult learning, including in services, workshops, and competency based education preferred.
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and evaluating orientation programs, including preceptorship and mentorship preferred.
- Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support practice change, quality improvement, or patient safety initiatives preferred.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or in the relevant clinical specialty preferred.
- Certificate in Adult Education preferred.
- ACLS level is preferred and will be provided by the employer. Must be acquired within one year of start of employment.
- Level 2 Wound Care Course required.
- Certification/Licensure/Registration: Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
- Active participation in professional associations (e.g., Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM)) preferred.
- BLS Instructor certificate required.
