Job Summary
Provide professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. Administer prescribed medical treatments, assume a leadership role within the healthcare team, and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge. Adhere to College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice, RHPA, PHIA, and other legislated acts. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team; demonstrate critical thinking, prioritization, and adaptability in a demanding environment. Preference may be given to applicants proficient in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous customs and values. This position is in person at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg with shifts across days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
- Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- CPR Training in accordance with Employer policy
- Knowledge of RHPA, PHIA, WHMIS, and related legislation
- Demonstrated nursing care knowledge and ability to prioritize and respond to simultaneous demands
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Eligibility to work in Manitoba (consideration for Indigenous language/cultural knowledge preferred)
